Alta Via 1 Hiking Guide: GPX files
Kraig Adams, kraigadams.com

These are my own GPS recordings of the Alta Via 1, walked in 7 days in
September 2025, from Lago di Braies to the La Pissa bus stop near Belluno.
They show the way I actually walked, including my side trips.

alta-via-1-day-6.gpx Day 6: Carestiato to Furio Bianchet
alta-via-1-day-7.gpx Day 7: Furio Bianchet to La Pissa
alta-via-1-full-route.gpx All 7 days in one file, plus waypoints for the
huts I slept at, the start, Forcella del Lago,
Passo Falzarego, Rifugio Nuvolau and the
                            La Pissa bus stop.

Load one day at a time on your watch or phone. Use the full route file to
see the whole trip on one map.

Day 7 ends where the trail meets the road. The La Pissa bus stop is a few
minutes' walk from there.

HOW TO LOAD THEM

AllTrails: on a computer, sign in at alltrails.com, create a new map and use
Import to upload the file. The map then shows up in the app on your phone.
Downloading it for offline use needs a paid AllTrails plan.

Gaia GPS: on your phone, open the file from Files, email or AirDrop and choose
Gaia GPS, or on gaiagps.com choose Import. Then download the map area for
offline use.

Garmin: in Garmin Connect (web), go to Training, Courses, Import, and pick the
file. Save it as a course and send it to your watch.

Organic Maps: first download the free offline maps for Trentino-Alto Adige
(South Tyrol) and Veneto. Then open the GPX file on your phone and choose
Organic Maps. It shows up in your bookmarks and tracks list and works fully
offline.

Before you leave home, download offline maps and check that each day shows up
in your app. Trails, signs and huts change. Follow the trail signs on the
ground and use this as a guide, not a guarantee.
