Dientes de Navarino Hiking Guide: GPX files
Kraig Adams, kraigadams.com

These are my own GPS recordings of my three-day loop on the Dientes de
Navarino circuit from Puerto Williams, Navarino Island, Chile, March 1 to 3,
2025. They show the way I actually walked, in the opposite direction from
the usual one, starting and ending at the plaza in Puerto Williams. All
timestamps have been removed.

Total: 32.1 mi (51.6 km), about 6,630 ft (2,020 m) of climbing and the same
down. About 5.4 mi of Day 1 and 1.9 mi of Day 3 are on roads.

IMPORTANT

The trail is faint and hard to follow in many places: this is where a GPX
helps most. Register with the Carabineros in Puerto Williams before you go
and when you're back (see the guide). The tracks are a record of my trip,
not an official trail line.

HOW TO LOAD THEM

AllTrails: on a computer, sign in at alltrails.com, create a new map and use
Import to upload the file. The map then shows up in the app on your phone.
Downloading it for offline use needs a paid AllTrails plan.

Gaia GPS: on your phone, open the file from Files, email or AirDrop and choose
Gaia GPS, or on gaiagps.com choose Import. Then download the map area for
offline use.

Garmin: in Garmin Connect (web), go to Training, Courses, Import, and pick the
file. Save it as a course and send it to your watch.

Organic Maps: first download the free offline map of southern Chile that
covers Navarino Island. Then open the GPX file on your phone and choose
Organic Maps. It shows up in your bookmarks and tracks list and works fully
offline.

Before you leave Puerto Williams, download offline maps and check that each
day shows up in your app. There's no phone signal on the circuit.
Rules and conditions change: check them before you go. Use this as a guide,
not a guarantee.
