Torres del Paine Hiking Guide: GPX files
Kraig Adams, kraigadams.com

These are my own GPS recordings of my five days hiking the O circuit and the
W in Torres del Paine National Park, Chile, in March 2020: counterclockwise
from the Laguna Amarga entrance, over the John Gardner Pass to Grey, along
the W to Central, and up to the Base Torres. They show the way I actually
walked. All timestamps have been removed.

                             (13.9 mi / 22.3 km)
torres-del-paine-full-route.gpx All five days in one file, plus waypoints
for where I slept, the camps and refugios
I passed, the pass and the viewpoints.

Day 4 includes the side trip up the Valle del Francés to the Mirador
Britanico and back to Italiano. It has two segments: my recording restarted
near Hotel Las Torres. The camps you may sleep at are set by your bookings,
not by these files: read the guide's section on reservations first.

Total: 85.3 mi (137.2 km), about 14,590 ft (4,450 m) of climbing.

HOW TO LOAD THEM

AllTrails: on a computer, sign in at alltrails.com, create a new map and use
Import to upload the file. The map then shows up in the app on your phone.
Downloading it for offline use needs a paid AllTrails plan.

Gaia GPS: on your phone, open the file from Files, email or AirDrop and choose
Gaia GPS, or on gaiagps.com choose Import. Then download the map area for
offline use.

Garmin: in Garmin Connect (web), go to Training, Courses, Import, and pick the
file. Save it as a course and send it to your watch.

Organic Maps: first download the free offline map for Chile (the Magallanes
region). Then open the GPX file on your phone and choose Organic Maps. It
shows up in your bookmarks and tracks list and works fully offline.

Before you leave Puerto Natales, download offline maps and check that each day
shows up in your app. Trails, camps and rules change. Use this as a guide, not
a guarantee.
