Tour of the Jungfrau Region Hiking Guide: GPX files
Kraig Adams, kraigadams.com

These are my own GPS recordings of my four days hiking a loop through the
Jungfrau Region of Switzerland in July 2022, from Wilderswil (one stop from
Interlaken Ost) and back. They show the way I actually walked. All timestamps
have been removed.

THE FILES

jungfrau-day-1.gpx Day 1: Wilderswil to Schynige Platte (7.2 mi / 11.6 km)
jungfrau-day-2.gpx Day 2: Schynige Platte to Grindelwald (24.1 mi / 38.8 km)
jungfrau-day-3.gpx Day 3: Grindelwald to the Lauterbrunnen Valley (18.4 mi / 29.5 km)
jungfrau-day-4.gpx Day 4: Mürren to Wilderswil (14.7 mi / 23.7 km)
jungfrau-full-route.gpx All four days in one file, plus waypoints for
where I slept, the stations and lifts, and the
                          places I ate.

The gap between Day 3 and Day 4 is the morning walk up the valley to
Stechelberg and the Schilthornbahn cable car up to Mürren, not trail. Day 1
ends where I pitched my tent on the ridge past Schynige Platte. That is not a
campsite: read the camping rules in the guide before you plan a night there.

Total: 64.4 mi (103.6 km), about 18,180 ft (5,540 m) of climbing.

HOW TO LOAD THEM

AllTrails: on a computer, sign in at alltrails.com, create a new map and use
Import to upload the file. The map then shows up in the app on your phone.
Downloading it for offline use needs a paid AllTrails plan.

Gaia GPS: on your phone, open the file from Files, email or AirDrop and choose
Gaia GPS, or on gaiagps.com choose Import. Then download the map area for
offline use.

Garmin: in Garmin Connect (web), go to Training, Courses, Import, and pick the
file. Save it as a course and send it to your watch.

Organic Maps: first download the free offline map for Switzerland (the Bern
region). Then open the GPX file on your phone and choose Organic Maps. It
shows up in your bookmarks and tracks list and works fully offline.

Before you leave home, download offline maps and check that each day shows up
in your app. Trails, lifts and timetables change. Use this as a guide, not a
guarantee.
