Privacy Policy
This site doesn't use cookies, ads or third-party trackers. It does keep its own count of visits to each page (the notes, guides, gear and the rest), of which gear and guide links are tapped on the gear page, and of guide purchases: the page, the link or site you came from, your country and whether you're on a phone. Nothing that identifies you is kept (no cookies, no IP address), and the counts stay in my own Cloudflare account. They show me which pages people read and which videos send people to the guides. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, also measures page loads and how fast pages open, without cookies. On the video pages the thumbnails load from YouTube's image server (i.ytimg.com), and YouTube's player loads from youtube-nocookie.com only after you press play.
If you sign up for email, a guide's free sample or packing list, or the trips waitlist, your email address is stored in my own database and used only to email you about new films, guides and trips. If you ask for the link to my game Solhex by email, your address is kept the same way on a separate Solhex list, used only to send you that link and Solhex updates. Every email has a way to unsubscribe, or you can email kraig@kraigadams.com and I'll remove you.
If you buy a guide, Stripe handles the payment. I keep your email address and order so you can download the guide again, and I never see your card details.
The test build of my game Solhex records how it's played, so I can make it better: what you build, the goals you reach and when, pauses, errors, your screen size, and any note you choose to send. No names, emails or IP addresses, and it stays in my own Cloudflare account. Add #norec to the page's address to play without it.

Phone line: calls, voicemails and texts
My fan line, (551) 210-8230, takes calls and texts. Callers hear my greeting and can leave a voicemail. This is what happens to what you send.
- What's collected: your phone number, your messages and voicemail recordings, and a written transcript of each voicemail.
- What it's used for: to read and listen to what you send and to answer you. Voicemails may also be shared on my channels, as the greeting says; when one is, it's your voice and what you said, never your number.
- How long it's kept: it's kept in my own private systems, and deleted when you ask. Email kraig@kraigadams.com with the number you called or texted from and I'll delete your messages and recordings.
- Sharing: your number is never shared or sold. Mobile numbers and text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
- The service provider: Twilio carries the calls and texts for me.
- Texts: you only get texts from the line in reply to messages you send. Reply STOP to opt out, or HELP for help. The Terms cover the rest.
