One journey, two ways in.
The route begins near Karakol and crosses high passes, glacier valleys, rivers, and meadows in the Tian Shan. Kraig completed the 50-mile walk over four days in June 2025, near the end of the snowmelt season.
The film follows the preparation and the walk itself. The companion guide turns that experience into a day-by-day route, with a GPX track and notes on passes, river crossings, and navigation.
