Hiking Alone in the Adirondack High Peaks

Kraig with a backpack beside a rocky stream in an autumn forest.

About this work

An October 2017 solo overnight in the Adirondacks, passing Avalanche Lake and climbing Algonquin and Mount Colden. Alongside the fall colors, Kraig records the trial and error of his early hiking setup: a hammock camp, cooking and coffee, forgotten charging equipment, and conserving camera batteries. The running commentary captures both the mountain trip and the process of learning to film it.
