Hiking the Kesugi Ridge Trail in Alaska
About this work
An early June 2020 Kesugi Ridge hike in Alaska’s Denali State Park, with snow still covering parts of the trail. Kraig starts at Little Coal Creek, camps on the ridge, and continues toward Byers Lake, catching glimpses of Denali as the clouds open. The closing account explains the overnight stops, the return to the car, and the cold-weather equipment he brought for this particular trip.
