In March 2021, I spent three days hiking 38 miles alone from Salento through the Valle de Cocora toward Nevado del Tolima inside Los Nevados National Natural Park in Colombia. The route passes towering wax palm forests, cloud jungle, remote mountain farms, and natural hot springs deep in the Colombian Andes.
