In February 2020 I hiked the Mardi Himal Trek in Nepal's Annapurna region alone, about 32 miles over four days. From Kande I walked to Pothana, up through the forest past Forest Camp to Low Camp, onto the snowy ridge to High Camp and the viewpoint below Machapuchare (Fishtail Mountain), and down to Sidhing. A white dog I named Ghost walked with me most of the way.
