My new 7-hour hiking film
Twelve trips, start to finish, no talking. Made for a TV and a quiet evening.

Hey,
If you read my last email, I said I was working on a new long ambient hiking film. It's out.
It's called 7 Hours of Ambient Hiking Footage. Twelve of my trips from 2024 to 2026, each one start to finish: the Dolomites, Kyrgyzstan, K2, Lofoten, Patagonia, the Peaks of the Balkans and more. I took out the sponsor parts and the talking. What's left is the sound of the trail and calm music.
It's made for a TV and a quiet evening. Put it on and let it run.
Watch: 7 Hours of Ambient Hiking Footage
I filmed every frame. Nearly everything after that, I did with AI: logging every shot, finding the conversations to cut, levelling the sound, and sorting out thirty music claims. It got a few things wrong too, and I only caught them by listening. I wrote up the whole story, with every tool I used and the calls I made myself:
Making and launching a 7-hour hiking film with AI
If you put it on, hit reply and tell me which trip you fell asleep in. I read every reply.
Talk soon,
